Product Introduction

 •Material: galvanized metal sheet, rust-proof and corrosion-resistant, suitable for long-term use on building exterior walls.

 •Structure: Square base plate equipped with multiple sets of barbs/spikes, with a pre-reserved mounting hole at the center for easy matching with thermal insulation nails or expansion screws.

 •Shape: The sharp spikes can penetrate thermal insulation materials (such as rock wool boards and glass wool boards), and the barbed structure can firmly hook the insulation layer to the wall to prevent displacement and falling off.

Main purpose

•Exterior Wall Insulation Fixing: Secure thermal insulation materials such as rock wool and glass wool firmly to the wall base course with insulation fasteners to improve the stability of the insulation system.

•Installation of sound insulation panels: Used to fix fiber sound insulation panels and prevent the panels from loosening under gravity or wind force.

•Fixing of wire mesh / plaster mesh: Secure wire mesh during internal and external wall plastering construction to prevent wall cracking and peeling.

Applications of the rock wool impaling clips

rock wool impaling clips are used to easily attach Acoustic Panels (703 Board) to walls.
Each clip has 8 spikes that stick into the fiberglass panel backing and hold the panel in place.

For panel applications requiring an air gap, wood spacer blocks can be installed between the impaling clips and the drywall to keep the panel spaced off of the wall.

The impaling clips are installed on the wall by either 1 drywall screw (not included) or attached with adhesive (Multi-Seal 180). 4-6 impaling clips are recommended per standard 2' x 4' panel making sure one impaling clip is placed in each corner.
