Manufactured from high‑strength alloy steel via drop forging and protected with a hot‑dip galvanized finish, this bow shackle delivers exceptional strength, impact resistance, and corrosion protection in harsh industrial and outdoor environments.

The shackle features a bolt type pin secured with a nut (and optional cotter pin) for positive locking, preventing accidental loosening under severe vibration and dynamic loads. The bow (anchor) shape provides a wide radius that accepts multiple sling legs, large chain links, or rope eyes without pinching. 5.1 Material & Forging

5.2 Safety Factor

These shackles are designed with a typical safety factor of 4:1 or 5:1 (breaking load / working load limit). For example, a shackle with a breaking load of 16,000 kg (3/4″) has a safe working load of 3,200–4,000 kg. Users must never exceed the WLL and must account for dynamic loads, angle of pull, and wear.

5.3 Hot‑Dip Galvanizing

The zinc coating (typically 40‑80 µm thick) provides cathodic protection. Even if the coating is scratched, the zinc corrodes preferentially, protecting the steel base. This makes the shackle suitable for long‑term outdoor exposure, wet mining environments, and humid construction sites.

5.4 Bolt Type Pin with Nut

The bolt type pin is inserted through the shackle ears and the attached component, then secured with a nut. For severe vibration applications, a cotter pin can be added through a hole in the bolt end. This design prevents the pin from loosening or backing out, making it ideal for dynamic lifting, rotating loads, and heavy machinery connections.

5.5 Load Testing & Traceability
